Tainted Victory?

Those that only see our country’s military endeavors as mistakes will always have a knee jerk reaction when confronted with an anniversary / celebration. Arguing that negotiating with Stalin was a mistake doesn’t take into account the realities of the world they were living in at the time, or the prospect of the alternative. The world may have looked quite different had we gone to war with the Soviet Union in 1946, but that is also an alternative that we would now be faulted for by the very same people.
