The play was a trivial comedy. I have not heard of it being produced again for any other reason than its historic significance.

I had the privilege of visiting our capital last week and through pure serendipity found myself parking a few feet from Fords Theater and consequently the home across the street where the president expired. My thought after touring both places was how small and insignificant both places seem to be, and yet how profoundly influential they were to our history.
