Space Blogroll Update

I've added a blogger who's an employee at Johnson Space Center to the "Space" links to the left, who runs the "Mazoo" blog. I'm keeping this person anonymous, because I don't know if (s)he wants the notoriety--if a self outing is desired, I have a comments section. As a content sample, there are some thoughts there on Hubble, the role of aeronautics in NASA (the first "A" and a subject to which I've been giving some recent thought) and the new administrator.

I've also moved Spaceship Summer, Rocketman, and The New Space Age blogs to the "AWOL" list, in the interest of weeking my garden, since I've seen no posting there for quite a while. They can inform me if they start posting regularly again.

By the way, if there are other space bloggers out there of whom I'm not aware, let me know, either in a trackback/comment here or via email.

[Update a couple hours later]

Here, via Instapundit, is another space blog previously unknown to me--Space Law Probe

Rand, if you don't mind, I'm sort of a space blogger myself, and would like a link from your site.

Rand,

Thanks for the links and for adding me to your blogroll! I was writing the posts pretty late last night, so I hope that I was at least able to convey my general point.

And I would love to 'out' myself, but NASA has a pretty poor track record with people who have a dissenting opinion. So I would rather remain anonymous and be able to share my opinion freely.

Thanks again and I look forward to discussing these and other topics during this exciting time in space development.

You know, with all the talk about the diminishing of the first "A" in NASA, people seldom talk about how all the recent changes threaten the third major mission at NASA... Yes, I'm talking about the *second* A, Administration. It is obvious that this was always intended to be one of the primary missions, and it could be severely threatened by recent changes. Instead of always talking about aeronautics or space, we really need to devote more discussion to NASA's adminstration mission.

- Eric.

(For the sarcasm-challenged... no, never mind. I'd rather we all get a good laugh out of your comments...)

Rand-

I've been blogging in support of my book. URL listed in the appropriate blank. I updated it a few times a week, and some may find it interesting.

Thanks!

Tom

Hi Rand,

While my blog is space-related, featuring the occasional anti-NASA rant, it isn't all space stuff. However, your readers may get a kick out of this video I've been working on. The video will only be on the yousendit upload site until tomorrow, but I'll be uploading the final version when I finish it in a few weeks.

One more thing... Eric, I think that "second A" is the only thing that NASA ought to be doing. When they do that S thing they just seem to get in the way.

Rand,

Not sure if you didn't find it before, but just in case here's mine:

Eric,

Don't worry about the second A. We have that one well covered. ;->

Mazoo

The Eternal Golden Braid

Not a blog, but a very worthwhile link in its own right:
Ad Astra Games
They attempt to make *simulations* of space combat. That involves lots of actual physics, and not a lot of handwaving.

Then there's my own blog, of course. I'd put either of the two listed above as being more worthy of inclusion on your list (Dagnabbit).

Rand,
Hello. I enjoy your blog. My own blog, Creative Destruction, is now slowly transforming into a space and aviation blog, as I myself am slowly transforming myself into a space and aviation entrepreneur.

Read all about it! =)
