That's the old joke about how the New York Times would headline a story about the apocalypse.

Well, in the case of the tsunami, life imitates satire.

Women, children, and also, according to the linked article, Canadians. Twelve of them.

"It also says men were more likely to be able to swim, climb trees and hold on to poles and building beams when the powerful surge washed over them."

How dare they imply that men swim and climb better than women.
