Gettng Back To Normal?

Johnson Space Center in Houston is having an open house in April, for the first time since September 11th.

I didn't quite believe the post at first. I recall that Ballunar Festival did occur last August (usually occurs in conjunction with JSC Open House). But it did occur without a JSC Open House. Now I know why the MOD Chili Cook-off is now in August (instead of early May). The Cook-off is a good way to meet JSC employees if not a great way to see JSC.

I for one am grateful that the Open House is in April. It will be much more enjoyable for folks who aren't used to the oppressive humidity come August. I understand that they wanted it to coincide with the Ballunar Festival, but that was just downright silly to have it during one of the hottest months of the year.
