Bill Clinton's Blog That's right, you read it correctly. It's been going since last summer. I don't (quite) think that it's real, but it's a pretty good impression of what one would look like. Here's one early entry: The dragon lady just called. She'll be home tomorrow. She reminded me she had asked me to look through some legal papers for her senate commission. I really don't want to do that. Damn. I just can't get myself to do it. Not today. I'll have to make up some excuse tomorrow. I know she'll look at me with that "You let me down again" look. Yeah, yeah, shut up.Posted by Rand Simberg at March 14, 2005 12:27 PM TrackBack URL for this entry:

Okay, there are 3 fairly dominate possibilities- 1) It is written without his knowledge by somebody who either knows him, or has a great imagination. 2) It is written with his knowledge, like a Ghost Writer. 3) He is writing it. In the first, there seems to be quite a few interesting details that would be simply damning to anybody that knew him. If they don't, they simply has to much time on their hands. The research and information flowing out match Clinton's life fairly well, with dates matching and everything. That takes some time. Of course, it could be said the same about me in simply replying to this. Just hazarding a question to all: If you were a former president (shoot, just about anybody really) and found an impersonating blog of yourself, would you find a way to close it down? Or at least discredit it? If that is the case, since this blog has been around for a while, I imagine if it was written without his knowledge, then it would have been found and reported to him by now, and discredited. I am not to suprised that former President Clinton would have a blog. Out of all the former presidents, he seems to me to be the most likely. The content is very personal and transparent, which is interesting and not far out of character. So the last two choices seem the most likely. I personally wouldn't allow somebody else to be that transparent with my life, and I wouldn't want them to be my voice when it comes to some of those issues. But everbody is different. So I give it a 70% chance it is the Fomer POTUS. For all I am worth! :) But I imagine if somebody is faking it, they are in for an interesting time. The details are really close to home, and would require some real close interaction, or else serious fabrication at a level that would make the author a good book writer. And from what we saw of Senator Hillary Clinton's security dealing with a comic who was making some poor jokes, I imagine there will be some interesting ramifications- Josh
I've been wondering also if this could be real. But it sure is amusing. Tony Blair asleep in the bathtub at Davos conf.? Posted by gwen brown at March 16, 2005 12:37 PMDoes anybody have the definite yes or no on this blog? Posted by Ned at March 24, 2005 07:07 AMIt's gone. The final posting was the morning of March 31, which featured a moderate-length posting where "Clinton" said the Democrats been behind the so-called Schiavo talking points memo. "Clinton" outright said the memo was a forgery. That was the morning, by the afternoon the blog was gone. Is it possible that a journalist read it, called Clinton's office for a comment, and that's when the SHTF?
