Go Watch A Shower
Sorry for the short notice--I should have said something sooner, but if you can get out of town, and the sky is clear, the best meteor shower of the year is tonight.
Jay Manifold has more, and actually had it over a week ago.

Couldn't stay up very late last night so I went out around 9 o'clock central time and looked up for about 45 minutes. I caught around 5 very bright streaking earth grazers that shot across the sky very fast.

Thanks for the link! Update here, in which I describe seeing lots of things, but very few meteors, oddly enough.
