Do you suppose there was some moment in time when guys who wrote on clay tablets, failed to see the guys who wrote on papyrus as a new and viable source of disseminating and storing information?
NEWS FLASH!!!
The Tablet Writers Union today announced that they would seek injunctions against the City Council of Elders using Papyrus Writers to tally grain harvest reports this week. "Why they can make those pappy russ sheets say anything, they can burn them if they want, they could even lie on that new fangled pappy russ stuff!! They can say anything and sway people into thinking there is enough grain WITH NO PROOF AT ALL," TabWriters Union spokesman Bloghate Nonothing said in an interview today.
"We need the King to set standards for what can and cannot be written on pappy russ and we need it BEFORE the next harvest," he was added.

That seems to be a common mistake of the mainstream media, they don't seeem to understand this newfangled internet stuff. They would never lower themselves to spend enough time on a blog or forum to find out the difference between the two.

Hrmmm, clueless reporters aren't the only ones experiencing confusion here - at least I don't think I'm a reporter. I thought a website where you dump stories and people comment on them was part of the catch-all phrase, "blog".

No, a blog is, well, a blog. One or multiple authors, posts in reverse chronological order, with or without comments.
Free Republic is a bulletin board, something that's been around since the eighties. Anyone can post there, not just the proprieters.
