And The Pope Is Still Catholic

Check out this "Dog Bites Man" headline.

[Update a few minutes later]

I'm told that the link requires registration. It didn't require it of me--sorry about that. The headline is "Libertarian Seeks Small Government."

The link requires registration - was it really too much work to just copy over the headline?

But the site doesn't do an email confirmation. Since they required entries, I noted that I was born in 1903, live on 1111 Nowhere Street, Zog, CA 99999.

At least they are bothering to mention a Libertarian candidate. If you knew absolutely nothing about libertarians, you might learn something.

Sometimes I wish there was a semi-Lib party - eventually, perhaps, you may be able to abolish the IRS, but it certainly won't happen overnight, and advocating that is just a good way to insure you have no chance in an election.

Bugmenot.com provides usernames and passwords for sites that require registration. If they don't have one for a given site, you can register yours, but I have yet to find a site they didn't already have a working username and password for. They have browser plugins and bookmarkets to make it easier to use.

I have BugMeNot installed as an extension in Firefox and had been waiting for an opportunity to try it. Not bad.
