Was It Even Worse Than We Thought?
Someone at Free Republic thinks that the terrorists edited out about a minute and a half of the butchery. If what he describes is accurate, it sounds credible.

It doesn't change the fact that the act was completely disgusting and barbaric, and worthy of nauseous scorn. But it does illuminate one thing:
Dan Rather and the rest of Old Media said the beheading was quick. Somehow to make it seem less terrible, I suppose.
They lied. Again.
Even before this snipped footage was proposed, it was not what I would call quick, but now it's agonizingly longer than we thought.
