Was It Even Worse Than We Thought?

Someone at Free Republic thinks that the terrorists edited out about a minute and a half of the butchery. If what he describes is accurate, it sounds credible.

Doesn't change a thing...

Posted by The Sanity Inspector at May 12, 2004 02:01 PM

It doesn't change the fact that the act was completely disgusting and barbaric, and worthy of nauseous scorn. But it does illuminate one thing:

Dan Rather and the rest of Old Media said the beheading was quick. Somehow to make it seem less terrible, I suppose.

They lied. Again.

Even before this snipped footage was proposed, it was not what I would call quick, but now it's agonizingly longer than we thought.
