"Another One Bites The Dust
Steve walks warily down the street,
with the brim pulled way down low
Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet,
machine guns ready to go
Are you ready,
Are you ready for this
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey, I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust
How do you think I'm going to get along,
without you, when you're gone
You took me for everything that I had,
and kicked me out on my own
Are you happy, are you satisfied
How long can you stand the heat
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat
Chorus
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
There are plenty of ways you can hurt a man
And bring him to the ground
You can beat him
You can cheat him
you can treat him bad and leave him
When he's down
But I'm ready, yes I'm ready for you
I'm standing on my own two feet
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
repeating the sound of the beat"

As we say in Texas: “F--k with the bull, get the horn.”
Congratulations to the IAF for ridding the world of another small-time Hitler.

Raed (of "Dear Raed" fame) argues that this is possibly counterproductive.

The unfortunate Mr. Rantisi is/was on record for the total destruction of Israel and killing as many Israelis as possible. The hypocrisy of the Arab world to glorify suicide bombers and condemn the killing of someone who seduces idealistic young people to carry out suicide attacks is sickening.

Very true.
But I dont think the abstract (if important) concept of hypocrisy has much value in the Middle East for any side these days.
"Realities on the ground", as it were.

"Counterproductive" in the short term, maybe.
In the long term, if Israel sticks to its, er, guns, it can only have exactly the desired effect.
The Palestinian rank-and-file have already begun to show some signs of not supporting Hamas and the like as much as previously believed. As the terrorist leaders are repeatedly demonstrated to be vulnerable, support for them will fall away.
It's only the most fanatical believers who are absolutely impervious to such lessons, and the Palestinians will be better off without them anyway.
