The New Jenin?
As Glenn points out, Fallujah isn't Tet, and it's not Mogadishu either. It does appear that the next attempt at dressing it up in old clothes (though not so old this time) will be to resurrect the myth of the Jenin "massacre," and to try to make it appear of similar kind.

Some people are not going to be satisfied until it becomes a glass sea... because that is the eventuality. Why do they insist on forcing that outcome? How can that be good for anybody?

The first anecdote in Glenn's article reminded me of an anecdote that has to date back the era when the first Marines landed around Danang, in 1965 or so.
Three VC were trying to attack a Marine outpost, at night. The guy in back tripped, shooting the fellow in the middle, who dropped his (live) hand grendade, blowing up the entire group.
"Amateurs" snorted the company Gunnery Sargeant.
