Categorizing
I've had post categories available for a while, but I've been very undiligent in using them, and I wasn't displaying them on the template. From now I will be, as you can see in the rebuilt index page. I've gone back and categorized the last two weeks or so, but I don't know if I'll ever get around to categorizing all 3500+ posts since the fall of 2001.

A nice addition, Rand.
Can I make an aesthetics-related suggestion? Maybe put the category under the title, or with the date/permalink info at the bottom of the post. I misread the category labels in parentheses as newswire attributions at first, and thought it was a marathon of satirical news articles in honor of April Fool's Day.
Do you plan to link the category labels to the associated category archives? That would be a nice convenience for readers.
