Is It Ethical?

...to terraform Mars?

It depends. It depends on your basis of ethics, and it depends on whether or not there's life there now, and its nature. I wrote about this last summer.

My viewpoint...

Mars will be colonized, although which nations do it remains a question.

Those colonists, in time, will eventually become self supporting. Before or soon after people having the resources will choose to emigrate to Mars.

While others are debating ethics, the Martian people will be planting trees.
