Unfamiliar With The Concept

A deranged young man attempted to crucify himself. Horizontally.

He may be a danger to himself, but clearly not to society.

Personally, I like the fact that he nailed one hand to the cross, but then realized he had no way to nail his other hand down, so he called 911.

A biblical way of painting yourself into a corner.

I also liked the standard disclaimer that he had not see The Passion. I'm sure if he had, it would have been the lead story on every news network.

Poor guy. I think Homer did that once. D'oh! I don't think he was that serious - he could have come up with an alternative easily enough. The pain may have actually been a good thing for him. And ... "Unfamiliar with the Concept" is right. If he HAD somehow done it right, it would have been terrible, and long, torture.

I'm just impressed he had the foresight to keep his phone within reaching distance of his cross. Maybe after he managed to nail his other hand down he was planning to call someone to tell them?

(On the upside, he does seem to have scientifically proven that Jesus' death could not have been suicide...)
