I think I've figured it out. He's going to lose every primary, but make it up in volume.

The Mop-Up
Excerpt: Here are some reactions to my treatment of the Bonfire of the Vanities -- Number 32, that is... Eric from Classical Values calls me a "sci-fi nerdy type"... which I guess is true. Owen from Boots and Sabers says it...

LOL! Rand, you're positively evil today. I love it.

I wonder if it would actually be possible to do that. Imagine coming in a close second in every race, and having 2 other candidates essentially splitting hte first-place vote, where each one takes approximately half the states.
About as likely as extracting sunbeams from cucumbers, yeah, but a pretty funny thought.

Good thing i have earplugs.
And, Rick, wouldn't that necessitate him coming in higher than fourth place on a regular basis?

Dean is actually in second place now, which you wouldn't figure from media reports. Of course, Kerry has 409 delegates to his 174, so second place may very well be first loser in this case.
On a side note, do you think we're going to see any more withdrawls from this race? My guess is no- Edwards and Dean both have enough delegates that they can keep going and hope to bring some negotiating power into the convention, Sharpton will keep going to keep getting free publicity and to make sure he has a chance to talk at the convention, and Kucinich is just too crazy to quit. I suppose I can see him dropping out if he keeps getting absolutely thrashed and/or runs out of money, but that's about it. Comments?

Well, you forgot to mention Clark, who apparently dropped out today. Other than that I think you are probably right.
