Senator Miller?
I don't know whether he'd win or not, but this would be a most entertaining race, and there are few people who I wouldn't prefer to replace Senator Boxer.

While I like Dennis Miller as a comedian and media personality, and applaud him for speaking out in defense of the war, what exactly has he done that qualifies him as someone to be put in charge of something? Has he ever even been a movie or TV producer?
Arnold was a good candidate not only because of poularity and name recognition, but because he is a self-made millionaire and successful businessman. Does Dennis Miller have that kind of experience on his resume?

Isn't it up to the voters to decide if he's qualified or not?

One might also reasonably ask what Senator Boxer has done that qualifies her as someone to be put in charge of something. Or to be left running around loose, for that matter.

As Miller might say... nobody's qualified until they've done it, afterwhich they are definitely not qualified.

If, by some chance, Miller runs and is elected, then we'll be treated to the spectacle of the left criticizing Bush for his plain (and occasionally mispronounced) speaking, while also critizing Miller for his overlarge vocabulary and obscure references.

Mike, you raise a good point!

In answer to Jon's question, Miller was presumably executive producer of his TV show, which ran for 9 years on HBO.
