Another Reason Why Space Is Expensive

A paucity of competition.

Click here for a literally graphic description of how much the industry (at the urging of the Pentagon and NASA) has consolidated over the past several years. (Unfortunately, it doesn't work in Mozilla, but it does in Explorer--I don't know about Opera).

It's actually worse than that.

In 1990 I started work with a medium size company called STX. Around 1992 or so it was sold to Hughes (part of GM at the time). Then we were sold by GM to Raytheon.

WFFM
(Works Fine For Me - on win2k and Lindows)

(Of course, I AM an IT type. Everyone in my company says the machines are afraid of me.)
