Short of being strung up naked and wet, and then hit with a cattle prod for a week, why do people agree to plea bargains for things they did not do?
A phenomenon I will never understand. Twice in my life I have been accused and repeatedly harrassed by the law, and neither time did I consider pleading to a lesser charge to be left alone. I HADN'T DONE ANYTHING WRONG!! Folks stand up for yourselves, demand a lawyer, make them show you and your lawyer the evidence. Then tell them to prove it, if they can.
