Hillarious

I'm not sure what it says about Democrats (at least NY Democrats) that Hillary is their strongest candidate.

Is it just a name-recognition thing, or something darker?

Hmm, let's see, why would Hillary be a popular candidate? Ran for major public office in a big state and won; confounded critics by settling in to the Senate easily and establishing a power base without major gaffes or threatening the leadership; fends off political opponents without visibly breaking a sweat; appeals to women and minority voters. That is a toughie :)

You gotta remember that a significant chunk of the electorate never did drink the Kool-Aid on the 'hate Clinton' campaign, and doesn't plan to at this late date.
