What, Me Worry?
Eric Shawn of Fox News had an exit interview with Mr. Combover--the Iraqi ambassador to the UN, who's en route to Syria. He didn't ask the key question.
"Mr. Ambassador, if you love New York so much, why are you going to Syria? Aren't you concerned, given what you've said in this interview and others in the past few hours, that there may be some members of the regime there who won't be pleased with your statements?"

He's going straight to a Baathist country. He's either very gutsy, or very foolish. I'm sure he's cut a deal but it's still not clear that they won't cut his throat for betraying the Baathist cause.
But if they don't, I guess he'll be living in style as a hero.

I was just thinking that maybe the surviving Iraqi Ba'athists may have sent al-Douri's family to Damascus, with the warning that if he doesn't join them ASAP they'll be sent to him in NYC, in numerous small soggy packages.

That wouldn't account for his exit commentary to Eric Shawn.
