British troops have discovered a warehouse filled with mutilated bodies in southern Iraq. It may be remains of victims of the 1991 Shia uprising.

The 1991 revolt was a bit long ago, and (at least according to the report I heard, IIRC) there were "a couple hundred" or "a few hundred". There were alot more deaths than that in the post war revolt.

My guess is that these are the "disappeared" from the last couple of years.
