Still Bananas After All These Years
Harry Belafonte paddles ever further around the bend, declaring that US leaders are "possessed of evil."
I guess the word "evil" hasn't gone completely out of vogue on the left--it's OK to employ it, as long as one only applies it to Amerikkkka, and not to people who drive airplanes into skyscrapers, or torture babies in front of their parents.

Try this, read the Belafonte statement again and input Clinton everywhere it says Bush. I don't know about you but that rings a little more true. Misguided, Clinton, selfish, Clinton, arrogant, Clinton, interested in power, Clinton, his truth is the only truth, Clinton. Of course all of the above statements depend on your definition of IS!!
As to Belafonte, he is another rich, spoiled, too removed from main stream America jack-ass who needs a reality check.

"Bananas" may be just right. I notice he's on tour. Still singing. Even Instapundit doesn't have a hit for every time Mr. B has probably heard a request for "Day-O" etc., from fat white clubwomen. That's it, after all his time. Fifty odd years of being a musical StepnFetchit. I think he looks at Colin and Condi and knows he never really made it out of the "field." That mentality, G-d help 'em was taught NOT to stand tall, not to be successful outside a narrow definition. He's still a minstrel and he knows it. IMO, the world has changed around him, and he's stuck.
Of course, Mandela says the same things from a totally different background. So what do I know.
