New Military Strategy Sites

I just ran across this web site that has updated tactics and weapons, and another one with some British suggestions for minimization of casualties, in case we ever have to invade old Europe again.

(Be sure to scroll down on the second link.)

Thanks Heaven, our president in Spain is a Good Friend of yours...

Why would we want to? If Germany conquered France these days, I doubt that we or the Brits would care, let alone try to drive them out. It would be like the Palestinians declaring war on Syria.

Ummmm...did either of you follow the links?

Sometimes I'm just too subtle.

I followed the links and still agree with AST and M

The only problem is we would need different bait for the two different species of weasel. Cheese and wine for one species, or perhaps just long-winded conferences that go nowhere and decide nothing. I'm not sure what to use for the other species. Maybe beer?
Suggestions?

But Rumsfeld apologized for calling them weasels.

yeah, rumsfeld has gone soft, seduced by show business narcissism and an overweening need for celebrity approval. the spotlight seems to be the deathray of sense.

Posted by peter at January 25, 2003 04:31 AM

I don't think Rumsfield has gone soft. I just think he got the word from those in the administration who are a bit weasel-y themselves, that his choice of terminology wasn't sufficiently "diplomatic."
