Not Simon's Fault?

Shawn Steel says that the ongoing GOP disaster in California should be laid at the feet of Gerry Parsky, the White House's guy.

He makes a good case, and is optimistic about Republican chances in the Golden State with a change in strategy. And leadership.

[Thanks to Lloyd Albano for the tip]

Hmm, reading this I got to wonder if the 2002 GOP campaign runs for state office were sacrificed for 2004 and possibly 2006? Ie, would it hurt more if the governor of California happened to be a Republican instead of a Democrat? I'm guessing they decided not to take the chance.

I hope no one is surprised if in 2004, the democrats dominate the elections in California. If Republicans can't get more monority vote, they aren't going to win in California.

Whoever was the highest ranking guy to say, "Richard Riordan isn't conservative enough to be our man in California," screwed the pooch time.

Hello? Guys? This is Calaifornia in the grip of utter liberal lunacy and you had a guy who is actually liked and admired by some liberals. But you chose the incompetent trust-fund baby instead.

Thanks load for giving us the choice between Dumb and Dumber last November.
