Dr. Strangelove, Or Inpector Clouseau?
I wonder what Christopher Hitchens will have to say about this.
It seems an odd choice to me. Kissinger is a diplomat, not an investigator.
[Thursday morning update]
Well, it didn't take long to find out.
...can Congress and the media be expected to swallow the appointment of a proven coverup artist, a discredited historian, a busted liar, and a man who is wanted in many jurisdictions for the vilest of offenses? The shame of this, and the open contempt for the families of our victims, ought to be the cause of a storm of protest.

Henry Kissinger was to Vietnam what Neville Chamberlain was to the Sudetenland. At least Chamberlain fessed up to being wrong.
Perhaps protesters could make their voices known by flooding the White House mailroom with pictures of the North Vietnamese invasion and the fall of Saigon. They can write a simple caption on every picture: "Kissinger's Legacy." Go for it!
