Hang 'Em High

I'm certainly glad the FBI has nothing better to do than investigate lynchings of Barbie dolls. I mean, it's not like there are terrorists out there who want to kill us, or anything.

I have no problem with dealing harshly with the perps in this case, but I fail to see the need to bring in the G-men. Are they going to set up a sting operation at Toys'R'Us?

They FBI probably has some software scanning criminal cases under investigation. Certain cases raise a red flag for various reason and hanging Barbie dolls might have some sort of psychological link to being a possible Unibomber.

It's easy to imagine that someone who gets off on mutilating female dolls might decide that it would be even more thrilling to mutilate human women. Despite the fact the FBI has other priorities, I think it's perfectly reasonable that this should set off some sort of red flag and be investigated.

I doubt that the FBI is dedicating their entire agent force to this investigation. The police still issue traffic tickets, don't they?
