Haven't These People Heard Of Geiger Couters?

I mean, the technology's only been around for seventy years or so...

Apparently the thirty-three pounds of weapons-grade uranium supposedly seized by the Turks the other day is not not only not thirty-three pounds (turned out to be five ounces). It's not even weapons grade. And it's not even uranium.

I wonder how much fake uranium the Jihadis have been wasting their money on? These people are such dolts, there ought to be all kinds of sting operations that we could pull on them.

I think over at Rantburg.com they had a good point that this might have been a test run to see if they had any information leaks. Or it was a setup to let the real stuff get through while the fake stuff got all the attention.

Sting operations... I like a person who thinks like me!

I can't really figure this one at all. Even scam artists usually try to make things look right. Then again, they did fool the Turkish police (and the media) for a day or two...
