Finally, Documentation
Fox News is reporting that the two Williams children who support the suspension have filed court documents, including one signed by Ted Williams a year and a half ago, stating that he wanted to be frozen, with his children.
I presume that he didn't expect them to be frozen at the same time as him, like some weird, frigid form of suttee--it probably just means that when it's their time, they should be frozen as well, rather than buried.
If these documents are authentic, it should settle the matter, and hopefully end the other daughter's attempts to kill him for good.

Dunno. I've only seen photos of the note, but it looks like it underwent a horrendously failed attempt at artificial aging. Wagimoko thinks that, given John Henry Williams' penchant for forging his father's name on baseball memorabilia, the signature deserves extra scrutiny.
The note may prove to be genuine and relevant. At this point, though, I don't think it deserves to be rated as the smoking gun.

Another explanation might be that Ted thought he was signing an autograph for someone. He had signed his will (and all other legal documents I presume) "Theodore S. Williams". However this "pact" was signed "Ted Williams" in the manner that Ted used when he was autographing memorabilia.
My guess is that John Henry stuck a piece of paper in his Dad's face, and just like he had thousands of times before, asked Ted to autograph it.

The biggest problem that this piece of paper has is no witnesses. I have heard that it was signed in 2000, which would give plenty of time for this scrap to have been added to his will and made legal. Addendums to wills must be witnessed by a third party to avoid the implications in this case of a person with an interest in the outcome manipulating an aging parent.
This is not a contract, which can be legal on any piece of paper, no matter the condition or lack of witnesses. Wills are different, and require a bunch more documentation. The bloodsucking son is no better off now than he was a week ago. The will that is in evidence stating Ted's wishes to be cremated is the controlling document until another documented will or addendum is presented. It hasn't happened yet. If this is the best they got, fire up the crematorium. It's like a Red Sox choke in September, only a matter of time.
