Alike In Their Ineptness?

Does this essay partially explain the apparent affinity of some Brits for misogynistic Arabs?

I feel sorry for the lass, but not all english men are hugh Grant-alikes (althought they do still exist)Though I can't see what this has to do with 'misogynistic Arabs'

Misogynists are misogynists.

Meaning?

Meaning that the writer described the British men as not being very comfortable around women. While it may be for different reasons than the Arabs, it's a trait that they share to some degree.

Must be a generational thing. Or maybe it's only Brits living in Britain. I've went out with British men, and I'd say I've had mostly the opposite experience from hers. They were all late 30s to late 40s and none were living in the UK at the time.
I will agree with the 'learn to waltz' last line, though. Not one of them could dance worth a damn.
