Happy Dependence Day

Joe Farah has a different perspective on tomorrow's holiday. Sadly, I think that he's right.

Farah is full of crap.

You have to wonder how stupid someone has to be to write that we are less free today than at the time of the American Revolution when people were being owned as slaves at the time of the American Revolution. . . . when women couldn't vote. . . . when the right to vote was restricted to people who owned a certain amoutn of property. . . . when people were actually jailed for blasphemy. . . . . when books that displeased local church leaders were routinely banned. . . . and I could go on and on.

I'm tired of mediocre intellects who think being mopey, turgid, and "doomstruck" gives their half-baked ideas heft and importance.

Happy Fourth of July!

I think you're missing his point. He's talking about attitudes, and the nanny state.

Happy Independence Day, all.

I've posted a brief documentary history of the American Revolution at my site, in honor of the 4th. Hope y'all enjoy it.
