Administration Finally Defends The Constitution
While the current Middle East policy muddle is depressing, there is a little good news, and there is a substantive difference between Bush and Gore.

The best part of all this is watching the antigun types go billy-berzerk...and try to explain how all of the OTHER nine may be induvidual rights, but #2 was only meant to apply to the STATES...they just put it in the wrong place, yeah...

Without the 2nd amendment, it may not be possible for the people to uphold the other 9.
Kudos to our justice dept.!
It is clear from the writings of the founding fathers (old rich white landowners/slaveowners, as some would have you believe) believed that owning and carrying a firearm was indeed a right. In many cases (as in many of Paine's letters) it was expressed as a direct duty!
I'm glad the common folks in this country are getting a fair shake in the means of defending themselves. We all can't be Rosie O'donnels and Dianne Fiensteins, and have armed guards.
My 102lb. wife said it best: "My 9mm gives me protection from even the biggest, baddest thug that would do harm to me, guns are the great equalizer".

I can't believe you people cry foul over such a petty thing as gun rights when there's a holocaust
against cockroaches being perpetrated by this Nazi government as we speak. Not only should private ownership of guns be banned, but so should shoes, fly swatters, Raid, and anything else produced by humans to murder cockroaches. All of these things must be banned immediately until a sizable portion of humanity is starved, shot, and burned to death to stop the horrendous
violence being instituted against our six-legged equals.
