What's That In The Sky?

Captain den Beste has an interesting speculation on what the world would look like to the ancient Egyptians--if they lived on Europa.

I guess those ancient Europan Egyptians were pretty radiation-tolerant, eh?

It was only speculation, d. If life had evolved there it would have been -- tadah -- life that was resistant to radiation, or else the radiation would not have been a factor. The point Mr De Beste was trying to make had nothing to do with the viability of life on Europa, it had to do with _how the Europans, should they have evolved, related to the universe considering their environment_.

But you go ahead. Tell the kiddies there is no Santa Claus.
