Whistling In The Dark
Leftist Robert Kuttner is concerned that his side is losing. He should be.
He still holds out hope (based on an extremely flawed analysis) that the trend can be reversed.

Frequently left-oriented commentators leave me thinking of "Through the Looking Glass". Exactly which liberal foundations are hobbled by business-dominated boards and a reluctance to be explicitly political?

Liberal foundations hobbled? By quality perhaps. Meanwhile, I think the count got to 12 or 14, conservative think tanks were hobbled by spending millions defending themselves against the Nixon-like maneuverings of the Clinton IRS. Even as liberal think tanks and unions in New York were laundering funds back and forth. I don't want to hear about unions being outgunned. Just look at what the California Teachers unions spend to fight against, oh say, bilingualism. And that union money is spent in contradiction to the Sullivan ruling on spending money on non-bargaining issues. And most of his "poll" results I don't believe he has the cites for.

Modern Liberalism aka Socialism/Communism fails all the time under its own flawed beliefs and system. And all the time its someone else that is to blame when the pretty picture crumbles. I give Mckinney utterly brianless statement that Bush new about 9-11 and prevented because daddy would make a killing in Defense stocks. This isn't a new pile of grap. Leftist claim WW1 was all a plot by Arms dealers. When reality becomes so intrusive that they have to restort to such stupidites to justify there beliefs.
