Disappointment
Well, the Administration is 0 for 2 in policy in the last few days, once on the domestic front, and once on the war front.
First was last week's totally unprincipled decision to protect the steel industry. And now the president is undermining Israel's fight for survival (and our justification for our own actions abroad) by making a wretched moral equivalence between terror and defense against it.
Is he morphing into his father?

Save Rumsfeld and Rice, Bush has surrounded himself with the same strategic bumblers that made such a mess of his fathers presidency, and we are starting to see the result of that.

What's happened to Bush? Within the past week, I have heard nothing but pointless trite comments come from his mouth. Colin Powell, the liberal posing as Republican, and Bush have both opened the floodgates of hypocrisy in their chiding of Israel. "We can proactively weed out terrorists but you cannot protect yourself from suicide bombers within your own borders..." Idiots.
I agree with David. Dump the rest, keep Rummy and Rice..maybe Cheney but he does not really say enough for me to understand where he stands on any of these issues (terrorism, tariffs, economic policy, etc.).
If all these actions are for political ground, I must ask, "Why?". Here is a guy with an 80% approval rating who is now mollycoddling liberals and terrorists for what?
Disappointment is an understatement for what I feel about Bush these days.

Actually, two bad ones on the domestic front...
There's Pakistani textiles, too.

You're either with us or against us. If you're against us, we'll bomb you... if you're with us, you get nothing.

Is the Pakistani textile issue the Administration's fault? I thought it was Hollings who was the spear carrier for that one.
