...is what I say to this article bemoaning the lack of "racial mix" in our winter Olympic team. Even if there really were such a thing as "race," there is no rational reason to suppose that every activity in which people partake will, or should, have exactly the same racial or gender composition as society at large.

That's funny. I don't remember any complaints during the last summer Olympics that we didn't have enough whites on the track team and basketball team.

Couldn't help but notice the lack of diversity in the starting lineups of the NBA All-Star game. And why were all the European players white? And of course, who really gives a shit?
