Is it causing a lot of this trans nonsense?
It seems plausible to me. A lot of porn is terrible, and creates unrealistic expectations of what normal sex should be like. It’s generally a really bad way to learn about it, and it’s particularly brutal on the girls.
Alec Baldwin’s Accident
Thoughts from John Hindraker. It was clearly an accident, and we don’t have all the facts yet, but it could be negligent homicide. Baldwin is responsible not just as the puller of the trigger, but as the producer on the set. And it’s another demonstration of how people who want to ban guns are ignorant of them and their safe use.

Small world:
Breezewood
A nice article about small-town America. I remember taking the Pennsylvania turnpike as a kid in the sixties on the way from Michigan to New York, and going through the town, with all its motels, and stopping there for lunch. It’s also a crossroad to head south to DC.

Thoughts from NEO on the social costs.
I was talking to a college roommate about this yesterday, though in his case it wasn’t so much a political change — he’s always been libertarianish — so much as the costs of coming out now.
Today’s Blacklisted American
The Kardashian Butt

A little light reading. I agree. As with boobs, quality over quantity.
California Models
I don’t generally care what models think, but in this case I approve this message.
Sweet, Sweet Connie
Connie Hamzy has been to her last concert.
Fun fact: Grand Funk was from Flint, named after the railroad line that ran through town, Grand Trunk. A friend of mine lived in an apartment building a few doors down from some of the band members.
The Latest Salvo Against Innovation
The usual suspects want to end the learning period for commercial spaceflight.
As George points out, it is not obvious that making people wear pressure suits doesn’t add more hazards than it reduces. We don’t make everyone on an airliner wear a parachute. We minimize the possibility that they’ll need one. Just design to vehicle to have a low probability of unexpectedly depressurizing. We know how to do this much better today than we did in the sixties.
