The New Defense Secretary

Highlights from an interview with The Economist:

I think his book was a key reason for the pick. He’ll be an antidote to all of the woke nonsense that rose during the Obama administration.

Day One

Fire them all.

I would love to see Milley recalled and court martialed, and stripped of all that nonsense chest candy.

More (a lot more) on Trump’s planned opening moves. It’s a good start. Worth noting, though, that he’s not actually going to be signing any laws on Day One.

[Update a while later]

They’re trying to get me to vote for him again (assuming I had the first time): Dismantling the FBI.

Calling Trump “HItler”

…has seriously damaged the moral realm.

I love how Biden and Harris congratulated Hitler on his victory last week. And how their acolytes, who thought he was Hitler, are confused after being told now, “Everything will be OK, we’ll have another election in a couple years.” It’s almost as though it was all a lie. Which blew back on them. Funny how telling people that they’re fascists, or garbage, or fascist garbage, doesn’t persuade them to vote for you.

A New Dawn

I slept better last night than I have in quite a while. I wonder now if the election had been weighing on me. As in 2016, it’s as though a great weight has been lifted.

My immediate thoughts: Barack Obama doesn’t get his fourth term. All of that lawfare against Trump is probably moot now. And we won’t be hearing any more whining about the Electoral College, at least for the next four years or so, since he won the popular vote. And speaking of that, what happened to those millions of voters from 2020 that didn’t make it to the polls yesterday? I have a theory.

I may have more thoughts later, but for now, a foreigner explains to other non-Americans why they’re surprised at this outcome.

[Update a few minutes later]

Heh.

Another big loser in addition to Barack:

[Friday-morning update]

Glenn Beck is filled with hope.

Me, too.
