The latest from the fever swamps:
If McCain wins, look for a full-fledged race and class war, fueled by a deflated and depressed country, soaring crime, homelessness - and hopelessness!
The frightening thing is that these people probably really believe this stuff.
[Update a while later]
The ends justify the means:
If health insurance for all, an end to the Iraq War, an end to torture and illegal wiretapping, and a sane energy policy can be obtained at the price of destroying one teenage girl, her family, and the surrendering our self-respect I see that as a cheap trade.
And to think that these creatures consider themselves our moral betters.
Ms. Ali had better hope we never have a race war in the United States. According to the Census Bureau, the U.S. population is about 74% white, compared to roughly 13% black. Even a fool can see which side would eventually win such a war.
Let's all pray that Ms. Ali's prediction never comes true.
If you replace "race and class war" with political war, I'm kinda hoping for one myself.
Imagine stacks of Democorpses, each one with a message carved into it:
GUESS REPUBLICANS WEREN'T CHICKENHAWKS AFTER ALL.
P.S. I GUESS THIS IS ALMOST AS BAD AS WHAT YOU DEMONS DID TO BRISTOL PALIN.
The Red States would win.
The vast Majority of the Blue States have been disarmed by the gun fearing donkeys.
"This is about Power . . . How it is obtained—and how it is wielded in ways that affects all of us.
Are you telling me you would not spread lies about a man’s integrity, even if it defeated a candidate who take away the right to choose?
Are you telling me you would not destroy the love a family holds for one another, even if it meant letting someone who would destroy the constitution become president?"
I believe him when he says it's all about power - for him. Anyone who believes as he does should be kept as far away from power as possible. That last bit expressing concern for the constitution was rich. I'd wager he's never read the constitution. If he has, he certainly didn't understand anything of it. They're breeding quite the Red Guard over there at Kos.

Frankly, that to me sounds unbalanced too.
Fatimah Ali is being disingenuous. The term race-riot is today a euphemism for black-riot. I'm not aware of a white riot anytime in the last 20 years. I think some black riots are likely if Obama loses. If he wins too, for that matter. For those inclined to riot, getting only some of what you want is as much an incitement as getting nothing.
"I'm not aware of a white riot anytime in the last 20 years."
20 years? Really? Damn, lets round us up some Irish folk and get at it.
I suggest reading the comments in "latest from the fever swamps" column. All of them (at least all I read) are against Fatima Ali.
What choice do we have? When faced with monsters, we have to be monstrous ourselves.
So torturing al Qaeda beheaders is okay with these folks then, right?

The last time the Red States wanted to mix it up,
I believe the Blue States slaughtered the Red State
Militia's, Burned their homes, Leveled their Capitols,
and left them eating dust.
The Blue States are quite large and wealthy, and
subsidize red america.

Who was it who did the fighting? (NYC had draft riots.) Just because someone lives in CA doesn't imply that they'll fight for Pelosi.
Note that the Dems were on the losing side of that war.
