The Last Straw
Kyle-Anne Shiver says that the Democrats sealed their fate in March:
All the other power-grabs — taking over auto companies and banks and insurance companies — might have left the Democrats out of the electoral tsunami zone, but the health care power grab sealed their coming fate.
The health care bill, foisted upon an unwilling American public, has become this era’s Intolerable Act. Just as King George and his elitist parliament pushed our ancestors beyond their breaking point, so has the modern Democrat cabal of Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. These are names that will live in American infamy.
No Mount Rushmore for them.

Well, I got back in time to see a great Michigan/Notre-Dame game. I think we’re going to start hearing Heisman buzz about Robinson, but Michigan’s defense is still suspect. Fortunately they have a soft early schedule from here on in to work on it, before the Spartans and Hawkeyes in October.
I Didn’t Know He Ever Had Any
Barack Obama has lost his sex appeal. Of course, I’ve always been immune to politicians’ supposed charisma, from Reagan to Clinton.
Is Michigan Back?
The offense looked very good, but it will have to be to make up for the porous secondary. 30-10 is a nice-looking score, but UConn beat themselves. When they go up against a team that has receivers who can hang on to the ball, I’m afraid they’re going to get lit up. We’ll find out next week against the Irish.

Stand Up For Your Rights
I just don’t get all this hate on uncovered boobage and Alan Simpson. If rights to seeing and saying tits aren’t constitutionally protected, what are? The very word is enshrined and embedded right there in the middle of “consTITution.”
In fact, I think that this invention, while not the worst one in the world, is right up there, and clearly unconstitutional (audio may not be safe for work).

The Suffering Begins Early
Looks like the Lions will be playing an exhibition game today, and I get it on NFLHD. I wouldn’t walk miles to see them, but I guess I can make it upstairs.
I’ve Heard Of Walking A Mile For A Camel
…but this is ridiculous:
63-year-old Lions fan walks 425 miles to attend practice.
Now that’s a fan. Twenty-five miles a day is a pretty good pace for someone that age. If he keeps it up, he might live to a ripe old age.

Speaking of Michigan football, what is the world coming to? First the Big Televen becomes the new Big Twelve with the addition of Nebraska (that’ll rev up a new rivalry with the Wolverines, who haven’t forgotten having to unfairly share the title in ’97), but will also screw up the traditional game with tOSU as the last game of the season. Apparently, they’re going to put the Wolverines and the Buckeyes in separate divisions (which makes no sense geographically) so they can hope for matchups in a title game, but don’t want to risk having them play each other two weeks in a row. Bo and Woody are both rolling in their graves, I suspect.
