1. Easy to see how confident they are: Offer them a choice – back to earth on Dragon next week, or a ride on Boeing in ‘a while’.

   Which would you take?

2. Interestingly, this could lead to a Gemini 8 scenario, where the SM RCS fails entirely, they have to activate the separate CM RCS, then use the 4 main engines to reenter immediately, probably land at sea and be rescued by naval assets, hopefully ours.

   1. Too bad they can’t rendezvous and dock with NSSDCA-ID: 1966-019A for old times sake.

      If I read this correctly it de-orbited on Sept. 15, 1967.

3. If Boeing can send astronauts to the ISS but not return them, do they still get half of their CCDev contract money?

4. We are watching Boeing and NASA cope with “New Space.” I like it. 10 years ago they would have done the de-orbit and let it ride.
   They are trying to figure out what is wrong before hiring more astronauts to replace the dead ones. This is a good thing.
