Churchill probably never said that America will always do the right thing, after exhausting all other alternatives.
Britain, on the other hand, will always do the wrong thing.
The Conservatives have certainly taken a beating, but as Mark noted, they didn’t go Kim Campbell. You never want to go Kim Campbell.
That daft broad didn’t realize she was the fall guy.
This is actually a good thing. The Conservatives must be put in a position where they can only win by being, and campaigning as, conservatives.
