Economists

Do they understand business?

Probably not. Certainly Paul Krugman doesn’t. I don’t think he even understands economics.

[Update a couple minutes later]

“…all corporate cultures are flawed in some way. I like to say that anyone who is afraid of competing with a big corporation has never been inside one.”

I think there’s an opportunity for someone to take on Boeing in aviation. SpaceX has already done it in space.

    1. Yes, but the bit about all the students writing down what Rodney said about running a business, to the professor’s chagrin, was all nonsense. The students were not there to learn business NOR economics; they were there to get a degree.

  1. With regard to competing with Boeing in commercial aviation, the airlines, Airbus and Boeing are one big club and you (and everyone else) aren’t in it. You’d have to disrupt the airline model as well as Boeing’s because they are the same.

  2. “I think there’s an opportunity for someone to take on Boeing in aviation.”

I’m hoping “Jet Zero” fits the bill.
