I really enjoyed the haunting “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” back in the day. Think I’ll pull him up on Spotify today as a memorial.
“Lightfoot” was the album that I will always remember. Hauntingly beautiful melodies and lyrics. A musical giant, though time took it’s toll on his voice and health. Last saw him play about 5 years ago in Calgary. God bless him!
The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald was the only G. Lightfoot song I ever liked. My sister was a Lightfoot groupie. Never had any sense.
