Whistleblowers are too few and far between, and essentially far too uncoordinated to be effective. No, what we really need is for the CIA to work with agents of foreign powers to set up a counter-intelligence operation to systematically and on an on-going basis expose the illegalities of the FBI. Congress should fully appropriate this black project immediately.
Whistleblowers are still heroes to the media, but only when they make accusations against conservatives.
I wonder how long it will be before having a CIA or FBI agent as a protagonist in fiction will become a political statement. Possibly already, that’s usually where I stop reading a synopsis, too much suspension of disbelief for me.
I remember when dissent was the highest form of patriotism. Many journalistic cycles ago!
