No, this “study” is absurd. It is not being caused by climate change.

Where, in your opinion, does the absurdity lie?
Is the notion that rising temperatures are leading to less activity and more obesity what you find absurd?
Is the notion that temperatures are rising from rising CO2 levels (or anything else, for that matter) what you find absurd?
Or something else?
There is no evidence that temperatures are rising sufficiently as to so change human behavior. There has always been hot weather. I’m sure that it is in fact a combination of lifestyle, due to helicopter parenting and videogames and social media, and poor nutrition (promoted by the government over recent decades).
If anything related to climate could be said to be changing people’s behavior, it would be the panicmongering over climate change. But in recent years that was eclipsed by the panicmongering over COVID.

I find it absurd. If I lock you in a dungeon shackling your hands and legs and didn’t feed you; would you become obese because you couldn’t be as active?
Maybe if parents didn’t try to shut their kids up by shoving food in their mouths? Have we considered going back to when parents were responsible for their children and would face social pressure if their children were morbidly obese?
