Doing nothing about a war, could be one option. But doing a civil war, seems rather irrational in context of being in a war.
What is obvious, is Trump appeared threating to China. And Biden could utterly destroy China, but doesn’t appear to be a threat to leaders
in China. Or US is capable destroying China with a brain dead US president if China continues to do what it threaten to do. But one would imagine, they are so stupid. Japan could take out China. Any nation could take out China. China was stronger, couple decades ago. So, China move is related to negotiation, Trump was a threat in terms of negotiation. But Trump wasn’t a threat to China. US has never been a threat to China. The only threat of China to US is it’s too poor. And continues to be a poor nation, and seems going in the direction of more instability and poverty.
And killing America with drugs, and have concentration camps, and shitting on North Korea. It seems China need a more popular leadership and it’s getting more unpopular by the minute.
As far as US, dems continue to commit suicide. Dems used to the controlling political party of the US. Dems have very little political leadership. That California Governor, beat off his opponents, in a state controlled by dem machine, is not particularly “good news” for dems. But Rep winning by default, is not particularly good news either.
United against China {or Russia} is not good idea. Other killing Iranian terrorists, our opposition to Iran, has not been particular useful, either.
It seems Space would a useful thing to focus on. It seems something all countries should be interested in.

We give a country a pass for what their criminals do because we assume the government isn’t involved. But here is the government of China making fentanyl and sending it to the cartels in Central America. Why wont our leaders shut that down? Who is getting paid off?
Geopolitics will follow us off Earth but I believe space is the answer to a prosperous future. How else will we pay off our debt without the riches of the asteroid belt? I think it will appear as if nothing much is happening and then things will move very quickly and no one will be able to imagine life the way it was before.
