About camouflage and spoofing, anyone know the story about some studio exec who was unhappy that the War Department didn’t think the studio lot enough an “essential industry” to disguise from the Japanese planes that were going to bomb Los Angeles?
Story goes that by pulling enough “strings”, the War Department relented and painted the roofs of the studio-lot buildings to disguise its function. But unknown to the exec, what they disguised it as was the Douglas Aircraft factory?
Will we look back fondly to the 90’s as the time when the “Internet was FREE” ? And forward to times where AI’s stealthily edit everything on the internet so they don’t need the ‘firemen’ of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 ?
