Nutritional studies performed on the eating habits of people in the UK are completely suspect if the meals were prepared in the UK. Compared to self-same meals prepped in France or Italy? I mean c’mon man!

We ran that “healthy eating” experiment. Both gained weight, felt bad a lot of the time, slumps after lunch etc. In late August 2014, after a lot of reading prompted by Karl Denninger’s blog, we ran the “eat red meat, dairy, vegetables, no sugar, pasta, potatoes etc and lost at least 10% of body mass without trying. Feel heaps better, more energy etc.
Depends on your genetics -and- the genetics of the bacteria in your gut. Because of a deep wound I had to take a heavy antibiotic regime and my digestion was never the same. The Probiotics cultures just didn’t work “right”…
Just following their sacred dietary pyramid is worse than useless. Find your own diet.
In any case, study done in the UK is suspect. Poms eat shit.
I wonder how much PUFAs in their diet?
I’ve often joked that the British went forth and conquered a world empire because piling into a sailing ship was preferable to staying and eating English cooking.

I’ve been eating undercooked red meat for nearly 70 years (since I was weaned, anyway). Think I’ll have a steak tonight, baked potato, sourcream and butter…
