I tried to listen to the NASA Spaceflight commentary and just wasn’t impressed. I follow LabPadre when I want to know what’s happening down in Boca Chica.
Yeah, I was watching the NSF livestream last night, and the commentary was awful. Admittedly it’s hard to keep things on topic after 6 hours of watching a tank sit there and slowly frost over, for the third night in a row. But as an example, at one point, there was a good discussion going in the text chat, and the commentators were ignoring that to talk about ios games.
It’s like they start off wanting to cover the event, get bored, get drunk, and then become a college frat party making jokes about the event they are pretending to cover professionally. All credibility is lost. And yeah, others around them can have good conversation, yet the “on-air” personalities aren’t capable of participating in those conversations.
Any word yet on what pressure 7.1 reached before letting go?
Nothing I’ve heard. They’re likely still examining the data. It might be considered proprietary, so we may not hear the final values.
Maybe we will at least get an “in excess of” number even if the exact figure is considered proprietary.
